Each piece is hand-thrown on the wheel, shaped with care, and painted in a deep black hue. As with any handcrafted item, slight variations in proportions and unique details make every downstem one of a kind. To clean: Place your downstem in a plastic bag or container with isopropyl alcohol and a bit of salt for gentle scrubbing action. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes, overnight for a deeper clean. Shake or swirl to break down residue, then rinse thoroughly. Follow up with dish soap and water, using a pipe cleaner if needed to reach the interior.
