The Form: A singular, architectural plate finished in a matte, stone-like mineral glaze. This silhouette features a fine, dense spread of "seeds" that creates a gorgeous broken stone aesthetic. The soft, matte surface offers a stark, geological contrast to the skin and fabric, resting against the body with an earth-bound stillness.

The Spirit: The Gorget is a modern talisman drawing from the silhouette of ancient throat armor. Reimagined here as a soft, ceremonial shield and a tactile record of mineral movement. It represents ancestral origins and the quiet persistence of stone as an invitation to wear a slice of the earth close to the chest.

The Making: I hand-cut each crescent from raw stoneware slabs, pushing the material to a refined, deliberate thinness. The Pepa glaze is applied horizontally across the form, allowing the sediment to accumulate uniquely across the plate. This piece is surprisingly lightweight but visually substantial. It should be handled as a precious heirloom.
