A triple-articulated curve of textured stoneware.

The Form: Three distinct plates that follow the natural contour of the body. The Canto utilizes articulation to create movement, allowing the hand-pitted stoneware to shift and catch the light with every gesture. It is a rhythmic, flowing silhouette that rests with a soft, ceremonial weight.

The Spirit: Canto refers to the edge, the stone, and the chant. This piece is a visual melody, a sequence of forms that mark a moment of presence. It is the most fluid of the Lunar plates, designed for those who find beauty in the flowing motion between parts.

The Making: The three plates are hand-formed to a refined thinness to ensure the necklace remains lightweight (approx. 3 oz) and kinetic. The Canto is an art object for the body and should be treated as a precious heirloom.

The Details:

  • Plate Dimensions: Center plate 4.25" x 2.75"; flanking plates approx. 1.5" x 1.75"

  • Hardware: Signature Japanese waxed cotton cord.

  • Adjustability: Ceramic slider bead; approx. 16.5" cord lengths.

  • Finish: Pitted white stoneware with matching ceramic endcaps.

The record of the hand

Cloud Commons is a practice of slow, technical discipline. Every artifact is born from the earth, either wheel-thrown or hand-built ensuring that no two pieces are identical. These are records of a moment spent at the wheel or at the table, made to be handled, lived with, and kept for a lifetime.
