Aether Noir Chillum No. 3
The Form: A graphic, modern silhouette that emphasizes the texture of the clay. The Noir Chillum features a matte black underglaze exterior that highlights the wheel-trimmed ribbing, contrasted by a crisp, glossy white interior.
The Spirit: Noir is about the mood of the set. Designed for a focused evening session, the wider bowl offers a level of utility in a compact, portable form. It is a bold, tactile object that feels both ancient and contemporary.
The Making: Thrown on the wheel and meticulously trimmed to create a balanced, ergonomic form. The black underglaze is applied to the raw stoneware to maintain a stone-like texture.

The record of the hand
Cloud Commons is a practice of slow, technical discipline. Every artifact is born from the earth, either wheel-thrown or hand-built ensuring that no two pieces are identical. These are records of a moment spent at the wheel or at the table, made to be handled, lived with, and kept for a lifetime.
