The Spirit: The Pepa Incense Burner is a dedicated instrument for the ceremony of scent. Part of our tools for smoke, it is designed to hold space for the slow release of smoke, grounding the air in the fragrance of the internal landscape.

The Form: An elongated, hand-built tray featuring a signature "bead" pillar, the same architectural form found in our Monolith adornments, here serving as a stable anchor for the incense stick. The surface is heavily textured with Pepa mineral accumulation, providing a raw, stone-like aesthetic.

The Making: Hand-built and precisely glazed. The interaction between the mineral-heavy glaze and the sculptural bead makes every burner a unique artifact of the studio’s technical discipline.

Details:

  • Dimensions: Approx. 10" x 3.25" x 1"

  • Care: Hand-wash only to ensure the longevity of the piece.

The Mark of the Hand: As with any individually handcrafted artifact, subtle variations in proportion, texture, and glaze are inherent to the medium. These nuances are not flaws, but the record of the object's making.

The record of the hand

Cloud Commons is a practice of slow, technical discipline. Every artifact is born from the earth, either wheel-thrown or hand-built ensuring that no two pieces are identical. These are records of a moment spent at the wheel or at the table, made to be handled, lived with, and kept for a lifetime.
