Aether Noir Plat
The Form: A low-profile, hand-formed round dish defined by organic contours and striking visual balance. Hand-slabbed in brown stoneware, this medium round plat features a bold, fluid sweep of black underglaze set against raw clay, finished entirely in a smooth, high-gloss clear glaze. A segment of the rim flares slightly upward into a hand-carved, fluted fan motif that catches the light and adds a distinct tactile touchpoint.
The Spirit: Designed for everyday pauses. Perfectly sized as a generous mug landing pad, an individual pastry dish, or a desktop catchall for personal ritual items, the Noir Plat bridges the gap between functional tableware and tabletop sculpture.
The Making: Hand-slabbed and individual carved in small studio batches. Each piece is hand-painted with a sweeping black underglaze arc and clear-dipped, preserving the natural warmth of the brown stoneware while creating a unique composition on every surface.

The record of the hand
Cloud Commons is a practice of slow, technical discipline. Every artifact is born from the earth, either wheel-thrown or hand-built ensuring that no two pieces are identical. These are records of a moment spent at the wheel or at the table, made to be handled, lived with, and kept for a lifetime.
