Aether Noir Ritual Tray
The Form: An elongated, hand-formed tray defined by bold graphic contrast and fine tactile detail. Crafted in rich brown stoneware, this oblong piece features sweeping, organic color-blocking in a rich black underglaze. The entire piece is finished in a smooth, high-gloss clear glaze, highlighting the contrast between the deep black motif and the warm, exposed grain of the stoneware beneath. The gently curved rim rises at either end into a finely hand-carved, fluted fan texture that catches the light and grounds the form.
The Spirit: Designed as a versatile anchor for daily ritual. Whether paired with drinkware for morning coffee service, holding ritual vessels and incense, or serving as a low-profile catchall on a desk or entryway console, this tray brings a grounded, artful presence to any surface.
The Making: Hand-slabbed and carefully shaped in small studio batches. Each tray is hand-painted with a sweeping black underglaze motif, detailed with carved edge fluting, and dipped in a clear protective glaze before firing.

The Mark of the Hand: Because each tray is formed, painted, and carved entirely by hand, natural variations in the underglaze sweep, rim curvature, and carved detail placement are inherent to the process. These nuances make every piece completely singular.
The record of the hand
Cloud Commons is a practice of slow, technical discipline. Every artifact is born from the earth, either wheel-thrown or hand-built ensuring that no two pieces are identical. These are records of a moment spent at the wheel or at the table, made to be handled, lived with, and kept for a lifetime.
