Tinta Lazo
The Form: A mismatched pair of calligraphic rings in Tinta-finished stoneware. One earring is a tight, focused orbit; the other is a broader loop. Together, they celebrate the beauty of the brushstroke that favors character over geometric perfection.
The Spirit: The Lazo is designed for the wearer who finds beauty in the tension of an asymmetrical pair and the energy of a mark that refuses to be static.
The Making: Each ring is hand-formed and hand-cut, allowing for a unique silhouette. The black border is applied gesturally to the raw stoneware. I work the clay to a refined thinness to ensure a wearable weightlessness. Handle with the care you would give a fine sculptural fragment.
