The Form: A bold, architectural form that frames the face with a sense of structural weight. The Large Tablet is a solid, grounded surface that commands presence through its expansive geometry.
The Spirit: A calligraphic specimen. Utilizes a bold, hand-painted black boundary to define its geometry. The line is gestural and undulating, a 3D sketch.
The Making: Each Tablet is hand-cut from stoneware slabs and shaped to follow the natural line of the jaw. I work the clay to a refined, deliberate thinness to ensure they remain surprisingly comfortable for their scale. Because of this sophisticated, glass-like profile, these pieces should be handled with intention and treated as precious relics. Finished with high-quality gold-plated sterling silver posts.
